Founded in 2022 by Andy Jones, Bailey Thomas and John Ashworth IV, Kinley Residential emerged as the culmination of the team’s extensive experience within the real estate community of Charlotte, North Carolina. With over 40+ years of combined experience in various real estate sectors, they recognized a growing need for specialized multi-family property management services that could cater to the diverse needs of property owners and tenants alike. The leadership team is deeply proud to call Charlotte, NC, home—a city where they all were raised. John Ashworth, IV.
Founder and Broker in Charge
John is a seasoned real estate professional with more than 20 years of leadership experience in the industry. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, he has built an accomplished career across multiple sectors, including residential and commercial development, association management, real estate investment, and brokerage services. His strategic vision and operational expertise have contributed to the sustained growth and success of numerous real estate ventures throughout the Southeast. As the Broker-In-Charge and President of both Kinley Properties, Inc. and Kinley Residential, Inc., John oversees a diverse portfolio of assets with a focus on multifamily housing. Under his guidance, the firms have earned a reputation for responsive management, high resident satisfaction, and strong investor relations.
Andy Jones
Vice President and Broker
Andy joined Kinley Residential in June 2022 as Vice President, where he oversees daily operations, supports revenue growth, and focuses on enhancing the overall tenant experience. Before joining Kinley Residential, Andy held several leadership positions at Kinley Properties, Inc., including Director of Operations, Property Manager, and Assistant Property Manager/Field Inspector. These roles provided him with a strong foundation in portfolio management, team development, and property-level performance. Earlier in his career, Andy supervised maintenance and grounds at Christ Covenant Church, where he managed facility operations and developed a keen attention to detail. This hands-on experience has shaped his proactive and solutions-oriented approach to property management.
Bailey Thomas
Director of Operations
Bailey joined Kinley Residential in 2024, bringing extensive experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, and organizational leadership. Prior to joining Kinley, she held a role in private equity where she supported leasing operations and facilitated cross-functional collaboration through advanced analytical and communication capabilities. Her responsibilities included managing the end-to-end brokerage commission process, negotiating complex contracts, implementing a firmwide CRM platform, and auditing legal documentation for assets exceeding $6 billion in AUM. Additionally, she maintained national brokerage relationships across more than 60 firms and oversaw operational functions spanning industrial, medical, mixed-use, office, and retail portfolios.
