The leadership team is deeply proud to call Charlotte, NC home — a city where they were all raised. That connection to the community fuels their commitment to serve and uplift the local area.

John Ashworth, IV

John is the founder and visionary behind Kinley Residential and Kinley Properties, Inc., with more than 20 years at the highest levels of Charlotte real estate. A proud Tar Heel, he has built an accomplished career across residential and commercial development, association management, investment, and brokerage. As Broker-In-Charge and President, John sets the long-term vision for a diverse multifamily portfolio defined by responsive management, deep investor trust, and resident experiences that compound into lasting value. He's always laughing and upbeat — you'll catch him smiling even in the middle of a workday, often with his dog Dooley trotting close behind. His steady leadership is the foundation everything at Kinley is built on.

Andy Jones, Vice President & Broker at Kinley Residential
Vice President & Broker

Andy Jones

Andy is the operational engine behind Kinley Residential. As Vice President and Broker, he leads day-to-day operations, drives revenue growth, and obsesses over the tenant experience at every property in the portfolio. A Chattanooga State alum, Andy got his start in maintenance at Christ Covenant Church before rising through leadership roles at Kinley Properties, Inc. as Director of Operations and Property Manager. He has a sharp eye for optimizing portfolio value, finding creative ways to save money, and putting investors first in every decision. Andy also leads the firm's people operations — recruiting great talent and providing the structure, mentorship, and wealth of knowledge that keeps the team running at a high level. Off the clock, you'll find him on the tennis court. His leadership sets the Kinley standard: responsive and disciplined.

Bailey Thomas, Director of Operations at Kinley Residential
Director of Operations

Bailey Thomas

Bailey leads operations, asset management strategy, and creative direction at Kinley Residential, where she sets the playbook, scales the team, and drives operational excellence across the portfolio. A proud Gamecock, she joined in 2024 from private equity, where she advised on leasing strategy and managed brokerage relationships and dealmaking for a portfolio exceeding $6B in AUM, and led firmwide initiatives including a new CRM rollout and high-stakes contracts across industrial, medical, mixed-use, office, and retail. At Kinley, she built the marketing, social, brand, and training programs from the ground up. Off the clock, you'll find her at Pilates, traveling, on the tennis court, or at a concert.

Rhonda Guidera, Director of Accounting at Kinley Residential
Director of Accounting

Rhonda Guidera

Rhonda brings a wealth of operational and accounting experience to the Kinley Residential team. A graduate of Independence High School, Rhonda joined Kinley Properties in April 2016 and has been an integral part of the organization for nearly a decade. Before entering the property management industry, she spent 18 years in the ready-mix concrete business, where she worked in a variety of roles including dispatcher, batcher, and accounting professional. Her experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and inventory has given her a strong financial and operational foundation that benefits both residents and property owners alike. Known for her attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, Rhonda plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company. Outside of work, she enjoys participating in APA pool league competitions and spending weekends camping.
